gentiopicroside, along with swertiamarin and loganic acid, are the primary bioactive compounds in Long Dan. These compounds modulates NF-κB and COX-2 inflammatory pathways, disrupts microbial cell membranes and inhibits pathogen growth, stimulates digestive enzyme secretion and GI motility.
