PubMed-compiled information sheet
This sheet was compiled from PubMed (NIH) abstracts using AI assistance. Every factual claim is cited to a real PubMed article (see the source list). It has not yet been human-reviewed — confirm with a healthcare provider before use.

Background
The provided PubMed abstracts discuss the taphonomy, chemical analysis, and genomic sequencing of various fossil bones, including those from dinosaurs, mammals, and birds [PMID:37588898, 39088604, 33514821, 39823391].
Active compounds
Research on fossil bones has identified the presence of endogenous amino acids, amides, lipids [PMID:33514821], and collagen proteins in some specimens [PMID:39823391, 32968129], although some findings have been reinterpreted as bacterial biofilms [PMID:18665236, 31210129].
Evidence summary
The provided literature consists entirely of paleontological, geochemical, and genomic research on fossilized remains; there is no clinical evidence or pharmacological data regarding the use of fossilized bone as a medicinal herb.
