Tea Tree vs Butterbur

Tea tree is native to Australia and has been used by Aboriginal Australians for thousands of years as a traditional antiseptic. Its essential oil is one of the most well-researched antimicrobial essential oils, effective against bacteria, fungi, and viruses. It became widely known after its use by Australian soldiers in World War II.

Butterbur is a perennial plant native to Europe and parts of Asia, used since ancient times for plague, fever, and respiratory conditions. Modern clinical trials have established it as an effective treatment for migraine prevention and allergic rhinitis. Only PA-free (pyrrolizidine alkaloid-free) products should be used.
