Description

Fragrant violet used in European and Unani medicine for respiratory conditions, headache, and skin inflammation.

Aromatic perennial herb native to East Asia used in TCM to disperse wind-heat, clear the head and eyes, and course liver qi.

Adult Dosage

2-4g dried leaf and flower as tea

3–6g decoction

Contraindications

pregnancy high doses, salicylate sensitivity

yin deficiency, infant face application of oil, allergy

rare GI upset

cool sensation in GI, skin sensitization from oil
