Aqueous extracts demonstrate antimicrobial activity against foodborne bacteria, with Listeria monocytogenes being the most sensitive [PMID:35889077]. It also alleviates Pseudomonas aeruginosa infection in C. elegans [PMID:40749432].
Extracts inhibit human platelet aggregation induced via the ADP pathway and, to a lesser extent, epinephrine [PMID:19174616]. Isolated flavonoid glycosides also showed inhibition of human platelet aggregation [PMID:8821433].
