Organic extracts from stems, stem bark, and leaves exhibited anti-inflammatory activity, with stem hydroalcoholic extracts inhibiting mouse ear inflammation by 54.3% [PMID:26664022]. Isolated triterpenes from the resin showed inhibitory effects on TPA-induced edema in mice and nitric oxide production in LPS-activated macrophages [PMID:27784308].
Leaf extracts exerted cytotoxic effects on MCF7 and MDA-MB-231 breast cancer cell lines, with more evident inhibition in the MDA-MB-231 triple negative cell line [PMID:29652200].
