Methanolic extracts protected mice against maximal electroshock (MES)- and pentylenetetrazol (PTZ)-induced seizures [PMID:11390127]; ethanolic extracts of leaves reduced seizure scores, latency, frequency, and duration in PTZ-induced mice [PMID:29321995].
Sesquiterpenes corymbolone and mustakone exhibited significant anti-plasmodial properties, with mustakone being approximately ten times more active than corymbolone [PMID:18234452].
